My prayer on your behalf

Dear Jobby:

I read your lengthy prayer and hope you don't take offense in the prayer that I offer in your behalf. First, let me tell you that I have come before the Lord many, many times, asking Him to change someone, to make something of someone, to make someone think, do, say, act differently and somehow, I never really realized His answer to my prayer. So one day, when at my lowest, deepest of despair, I spoke to the Lord and asked Him to show me how to pray effectively because obviously, I felt, He was not hearing me. Suddenly, He lead me to read a whole chapter in the bible, John 17, in its entirety. It was the prayer of Jesus during the agony in the garden. After reading this passage, it dawned on me that first, I needed to pray for a change in me, for God to make me see clearly, to change me so that I can effect a change in others, changes that pleases the Lord. Lo and behold, there was a significant change in how I saw things, how I understood things to be. I was enlightened, and being enlightened, I acted accordingly, and guess what, the change I was praying for in my loved one became a reality almost instantly.

I hope my story will help you as you try to find answers and solution for a reunion with your wife. God wants us to want for others what we want for ourselves. In marriage, the Word says wives be submissive to your husbands, but it also says, husbands love your wives and Jesus loves His church, and Jesus love His church (us) unconditionally, without reserve. the Father loves us all that He sacrificed, gave us His only begotten Son that we may be saved.

Love, the love that comes from God, is not jealous, knows no anger, is easy to forgive, doesn't hold any grudges.

Give your situation to the care of God, who loves us all unconditionally and knows what is best for our souls. Ask Him to help you to make the change in you that will effect the change in your wife, that once reunited, your love can weather any storms and rejoice in all the good times.

I pray for God's grace of wisdom, patience and understanding for you, and for your wife. I pray for His blessing of love, forgiveness, and peace between the two of you. And finally, I pray that He leads you and your wife along the path of forgiveness and oneness in your marriage and relationship.
