Daily Blessings Issue #078 -- The Test of Faith September 27, 2005 |
Hello Dear Ones, The Test of FaithIt is easy to trust God when all in going well in one's life. It is quite another matter to trust God in the midst of pain and suffering, whether it is your own difficulties or that of others. The true test of faith comes when we are challenged, when it is not possible for us to fully see or understand the meaning in an event, when we are faced with situations that we do not want. How does one strengthen faith? It is the very act and choice of going through a difficult situation with God that strengthens faith and transforms the habitual separated consciousness. Separated consciousness assumes we are alone in the world, that life is not to be trusted. The way home, to return to your soul's essential connection with God is through the conscious choice to walk with God through all aspects of your life -- the joyful as well as the difficult. You may encounter strong emotions during this time, as there are many difficulties and challenges manifesting on the Earth at this moment. Your choice to be with God during these times, rather than to engage in fear and separated consciousness, adds to the Light and love present on the Earth and helps to support those who are going through challenges. When you find yourself engaging in blame, focusing on what others are doing wrong, you have left behind your faith in God. See with love and truth the mistakes and limitations of others action... but see with the heart of God. Look within to yourself -- what choices can you make today in this moment, in this day that will make things better, that will contribute to a more positive and healing world? This is the choice that all beings are given freely by a loving God who allows His children freedom. What will your choice be today?
May all beings be free.
