The Pain of Letting Go

This choice may be as simple as consciously letting go of an object, relationship, life circumstance, job or activity that no longer serves us. The choice could be a deeper and more subtle one that is internally based. For example you may be asked to make a more conscious and visible commitment to your spiritual path. Or you may be asked to let go of a behavior pattern or thought pattern that previously aligned you with energies of negativity or darkness that prevented you from further manifesting your soul's purpose.

When a soul is asked to take a conscious step forward this always involves both inner and outer action and choices. It is important during these times to honor the many complex emotions that the human heart feels during such changes. To step forward into the new always involves a letting go of the old. Just as the physical body is constantly breathing in, and breathing out, all of life is a movement and an exchange of energy that is fluid and ever changing.

Many times this letting go brings up grief, sadness, and unresolved thoughts and feelings from the past. Allow these feelings to flow freely. Allow yourself the time and space to naturally, organically pass through the stages of grief. You will find as this process unfolds that you begin to experience glimpses of true joy, joy that is the pure expression of your soul's knowing of itself and it's progression towards the true Home that lives within all beings as the spark of God's eternal holy Light, Love and Truth.
