Gentleness
The gentle and loving nature of God's love can be seen in the wind which gently caresses the trees and landscape, the touch of a mother's hand upon her newborn's cheek, and in the longing of the heart to be tender and to express softness, vulnerability, and love.In today's age of violence and disconnection from the heart, gentleness would seem to be out of place in a world that requires strength and might to defend itself against perceived enemies. Gentleness as a quality appears to be a sign of weakness, when in reality it is a great strength.
The presence of a gentle, loving heart speaks volumes to the world. The gentle heart does not need others to listen or validate its existence ... it just is, and the very fact of its existence is a testimony to God's wisdom and grace acting within space and time.
The gentle heart cries out at pain and injustice, and is not afraid to feel. The quality of gentleness is like a river, flowing across and around all obstacles, gradually smoothing the rough edges of all sharp surfaces until they are transformed.
The quality of gentleness stands in quiet testimony to the power of God's love. Gentleness is one of the strengths that will be needed both now and in the future, to bring into manifestation a new world that shines brilliantly with the reality of God's love. With all love and blessings, Amen.
